Crude feminist actress Lena Dunham invested a lot of time and effort to elect Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States and she was so distraught things didn’t go her way Tuesday she broke into hives.

Dunham, who promised to move to Canada if Trump won the presidency, apparently hasn’t packed her bags yet, but she recently shared her reaction to The Donald’s historic win with her followers through her Lenny newsletter, Entertainment Weekly reports.dunhamsad

Dunham said she was practically celebrating Tuesday before reality set in “because as horrifying as I found Donald Trump’s rhetoric, as hideous as I found his racism and xenophobia, as threatening to basic decency as I found his demagogue persona, I never truly believed he could win.”

As the night wore on and Trump’s likely victory set in, “it became clear something went horribly wrong,” she wrote.

“Celebrants’ faces turned. The modeling had been incorrect,” Dunham wrote. “Watching the numbers in Florida, I touched my face and realized I was crying. ‘Can we please go home?’ I said to my boyfriend.

“I could tell he was having trouble breathing,” she wrote, “and I could feel my chin breaking into hives.”

EW reports:

Dunham noted how during the campaign, she was attacked online by trolls who called for death, but “kept going, thinking these were the dying moans of the dragon known as the patriarchy being stabbed again and again in the stomach. We believed that on November 9, they’d be licking their wounds while we celebrated. It is painful on a cellular level knowing those men got what they wanted, just as it’s painful to know you are hated for daring to ask for what is yours.”

Like Samantha Bee during Wednesday’s episode of Full Frontal, Dunham also called out white women for Trump support. “It’s painful to know that white women, so unable to see the unity of female identity, so unable to look past their violent privilege, and so inoculated with hate for themselves, showed up to the polls for him, too,” she wrote.

Dunham also called on her followers to fight on for “those who are gagged by the system Donald Trump proposes.”

“In this new reality, we have all been radicalized,” she said. “It’s no longer a word for those living on the fringes.”

At Hollywood’s Matrix Awards in April, Dunham told the audience she planned to move to Canada if Trump was elected, though it remains unclear whether she will honor her word.

“I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will,” Dunham said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I know a lovely place in Vancouver and I can get my work done from there.”

Other leftist celebrities who vowed to flee a Trump America include “musician” Miley Cyrus, “The View” hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Raven Symone, actors Samuel L. Jackson and Bryan Cranston, feminist comedienne Amy Schumer, comic Eddie Griffin, Cher, Rev. Al Sharpton and others, The American Mirror reports.

Los Angeles street artist Sabo capitalized on their promises by posting parody Sotheby’s bench ads for celebrity “Election Day Sales” that featured images of the leftist A-listers and their lavish homes.

“Today is the day the snowflakes melt, melt like tears in rain,” Sabo posted to his Facebook page on election night.
