A massive crowd developed in the lobby of the New York Times building to catch a glimpse of President-elect Donald Trump today, and there were audible groans when attendees were informed he had already entered the building.
Video from the lobby in Midtown Manhattan shows a huge crowd packed in the entrance.
Trump was scheduled to meet with newspaper executives before cancelling, then rescheduling the meeting.
Security personnel could be heard saying he had already entered before a barricade was removed and the crowd began filtering out.
NBC’s Andrew Siff called it a “surreal scene.”
