It pays to have progressive privilege.
When TV host Ellen DeGeneres went to the White House on Tuesday to accept a presidential award, she realized she forgot her ID and was prevented from entering.

But, according to USA Today, about an hour later, she was mysteriously granted access.
After being let in, DeGeneres staged a “mannequin challenge” with several of the other awardees, including Tom Hanks, Robert DeNiro, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jordan and Bill Gates.

DeGeneres and a number of other celebrities were given the Presidential Medal of Freedom in Obama’s last ceremony before leaving office.
Would an average American be able to get into the White House without an ID? Or just the privileged class?
