Anti-police agitators are taking to the streets tonight to protest a decision to not charge a Charlotte officer in the death of armed black man Keith Scott.
Protesters converged on the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department in an attempt to “shut that shit down,” according to Charlotte Uprising, the organizing group.
As police tried to keep agitators from blocking the street, they taunted police, swearing at an officer and giving him the middle finger.

“F*ck you, you’re a liar, your whole department isn’t shit,” a woman yelled at the officer, who seemed unfazed. “You all kill us dead in the street, you incarcerate our brothers and sisters,” she said.
“None of us like you,” another added.
“We want freedom,” the group chanted, “tell these racist ass cops we don’t need ’em, need ’em,” they continued in unison (as if they were trained to do this?).

Agitators also pulled the American flag down to half mast outside the station.
