Michigan loves Donald Trump.

CNN’s Ashley Killough tweeted a video of the long line of Trump supporters waiting in 25° temps Friday afternoon for a 7pm rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The video shows the line extending the length of the huge building and beyond. It points out the cold temperature and that it was taken two-and-a-half hours before the event is scheduled to start.

A new Pew study finds several Michigan counties saw big shifts from Barack Obama in 2008 to Donald Trump in 2016.

Via Pew Research Center:

Of the 221 areas examined, there are 57 such solidly middle-class areas, and they were almost equally split in 2008, with 30 areas voting for Democrats and 27 for Republicans.

In 2016, Trump successfully defended all 27 middle-class areas won by Republicans in 2008. In a dramatic shift, however, Hillary Clinton lost in 18 of the 30 middle-class areas won by Democrats in 2008.

The Center listed four Michigan counties — Muskegon, Monroe, Jackson and Saginaw — among the top municipalities that shifted towards Trump.

Trump won Michigan by about 22,000 votes — the first time a Republican has won the state since 1988.
