Somebody really needed to brush his teeth, and he wasn’t going to let anybody stop him.
Nassau County Police are searching for an accused shoplifter who they say swiped 15 tubes of toothpaste from a Freeport, Long Island Walgreens two days before Christmas.
According to a police news release:
According to detectives, a male black subject removed 15 packages of toothpaste from the Walgreens located at 89 Henry Street and exited the store without paying.
When the male victim, 31, confronted the subject he pulled a screwdriver and threatened the victim, an employee.
The subject then entered a grey Honda Odyssey and fled scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
Police say the suspect is 50 years old, 5’10” tall, grey beard. He was last seen wearing a black knit hat.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
