Barack Obama may only have 15 days left in office, but he wanted to remind everyone at a military farewell that he’s still very, very important.
Addressing the Armed Services Farewell Ceremony at Fort Myer, Virginia, Obama said, “So I recognize the formalities require me listening to praise directed in in large part to me, I want to turn the tables.”

He reminded attendees, “I am still commander-in-chief so I get to do what I want to do and I want to thank you.
“Of all the privileges in this office and there are many. I will miss Air Force One. I will miss Marine One,” Obama said.
“But I can stand before you today and say there has been no greater privilege and no greater honor than serving as commander-in-chief of the greatest military in the history of the world.”
And in what was one of Obama’s last acts of self-importance, his Defense Secretary presented him with a “Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service.”
