A group of malcontents in Iowa weren’t expecting anyone to fight back.

And especially not with a fire extinguisher.

A small group of anti-Donald Trump agitators sought to burn several American flags on the pedestrian mall in Iowa City on Thursday because they “meant to protest racial and social injustice and U.S. imperialism,” USA Today reports.

But then a FedEx driver, identified as Matt Uhrin by Little Village magazine, appeared on the scene.

“F*cking retard!” one of the agitators shouted after Uhrin intervened.

One protester complained he was trying to “take away our freedom.”

“That’s not freedom, that’s treason, man,” one passerby said. “That’s not how you unite a country.”

“That’s not our jobs,” one of the agitators said in a revealing comeback.

Uhrin then returned to seize more flags the group was attempting to burn.

One guy resembling Pedro from “Napoleon Dynamite” couldn’t spew the social justice warrior lingo fast enough, belching out “privilege” and “fascism” and other words that would send his professor’s heart all a-flutter.

A group of sympathizers then surrounded the agitators to protect their burning stunt.

Little Village reports two of the protesters were ticketed.

Protesters Kelli Ebensberger and Paul Osgerby received a citation for not having a permit for an open burn. Under Iowa City Code, open burning is prohibited unless an individual has obtained a permit from the fire marshal. A violation is considered a simple misdemeanor or municipal infraction. Simple misdemeanors are punishable with a fine of at least $65 or up to $625, and imprisonment for up to 30 days.

Uhrin said his actions had nothing to do with his employer.

UPDATE:

FedEx tweeted about the matter on Saturday morning.

“We have reviewed the matter in Iowa City involving driver Matt Uhrin. He remains a FedEx employee & we have no plans to change his status.”
