During a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House today, President Donald Trump ripped the treatment of his recently resigned National Security Advisor by the “fake media.”

Answering a question from CBN’s David Brody, Trump said, “Michael Flynn is a wonderful man.

“I think he’s been treated very, very unfairly by the media — as I call it the ‘fake media’ in many cases,” he said.

“I think it’s really a sad thing that he was treated so badly.”

Trump went on to criticize the leaks coming from the intelligence agencies.

“Papers are being leaked, things are being leaked — criminal act,” Trump said.

“It’s been going on for a long time — before me. But now it’s really going on.”

The president hinted that there are partisan political motivations at play.

“People are trying to cover up for a terrible loss that the Democrats had under Hillary Clinton,” Trump said.
