Donald Trump’s illegal immigration solutions may have been punch lines for actors on Sunday night, but none of them objected to being protected by a wall and “security maze” during their self-absorbed awards show.
“As a Mexican, Latin-American, migrant worker, human being, I’m against any form of wall that wants to separates us,” Gael Garcia Bernal said from the stage as he was presenting the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film.
But Bernal — and the many other Hollywood elites attending the Academy Awards — were protected from the unwashed masses by big, beautiful walls.
There was a concrete barrier, which Entertainment Weekly’s Lynette Rice described as a “security maze”:

There were not only fences, but fences covered with mesh to prevent ordinary people from catching a glimpse of the privileged Hollywood class:
There was even this huge green hedge to keep the plebes scuffling over Trump away from the celebrities lining up to grab their $100,000 gift bags.
