“It crosses a line when it moves from being about trying to educate a public, and instead just becomes about intelligence porn,” Comey said, ignoring the fact that nothing released by Wikileaks has ever been proven to be false, and politicians along with others who have had information released about them have been forced to admit that the leaked information was real in the past.

“Frankly, just pushing out information, without regard to the First Amendment values that normally underlie press reporting, and simply becomes a conduit for the Russian intelligence services, just to push out information to damage the United States,” Comey said.

Apparently, releasing emails which show the blatant criminal activity of corrupt politicians is now “damaging” to the U.S. and that somehow makes Wikileaks a “conduit” for Russian intelligence, according to the FBI director.

“There’s nothing that even smells journalist about some of this content,” Comey said.

Comey ironically mentioned “First Amendment values” while simultaneously attacking the free press by claiming Wikileaks has nothing to do with news or journalism.
