Russian leaders are making light of the symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome being displayed by American reporters.

As Vladimir Putin was making his way to the ice for a hockey game, a CBS reporter somehow talked to him in the hallway to get his reaction to President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.

“How will the firing of James Comey affect US-Russia relations?” Putin was asked.

“There will be no effect,” Putin said through an interpretation by his spokesman.

“Your question looks very funny for me,” he continued, “don’t be angry with me.

“We have nothing to do with that. President Trump is acting in accordance with his competence and in accordance with his law and Constitution,” Putin said.

He then invited the reporter to play hockey with him.

On the same day, during a brief appearance before the media with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mocked NBC’s Andrea Mitchell.

After Tillerson spoke briefly, Mitchell yelled out, “Does the Comey firing cast a shadow over your talks, gentlemen?”

As the two began turning away, Lavrov turned back and sarcastically said, “Was he fired?

“You are kidding! You are kidding!”

“Yes, he was fired,” Mitchell responded, apparently not picking up on his ridicule.

Lavrov huffed and the pair walked away.

Maybe a mutual contempt for the American mainstream media is what will ultimately cool tensions between America and Russia.
