Department of Homeland Security Secretary Gen. John Kelly proposed a unique use for a ceremonial sword presented to President Trump on Wednesday.
The President was participating in the U.S. Coast Guard graduation ceremony when he was presented with a ceremonial saber by the Coast Guard Class of 2017 as a “token of our appreciation.”
After accepting the gift and sitting down, Kelly leaned over to Trump and said, “Use that on the press, sir.”
Trump laughed and responded, “Yeah, that’s right.”
The moment was caught on a hot mic.
