Kathy Griffin knows how to play to the cameras.

She is a performer, after all.

That might explain why when she appeared to break down during her woe-is-me press conference today, she shed no tears.

After a reporter asked a question, Griffin responded, “I don’t know. That hurt. That’s all,” appearing to break down.

Looking down and wiping her nose, seconds later, she looked up, her face straightened out and she looked like nothing had happened.

There were no tears to dry.

She went on to another question, never wiped her eyes and gave the answer in a normal voice.

The big mean president made her cry and the cameras captured it perfectly.

As they say in the industry, “Cut!”
