On Wednesday, Director of the National Security Agency Mike Rogers said the Trump administration has never asked him to do anything illegal or inappropriate, nor did the previous administration.
During a Senate Intelligence Committee Hearing, Democratic Senator Mark Warner asked Rogers if President Trump had ever asked him to stop an investigation, specifically referring to reports that President Trump allegedly told him to interfere in the FBI’s Russia investigation or at least “pressured” him to do so.
“In the three plus years that I have been the Director of the National Security Agency, to the best of my recollection, I have never been directed to do anything I believe to be illegal, immoral, unethical or inappropriate. And to the best of my recollection, during that same period of service, I do not recall ever feeling pressured to do so,” Rogers responded.

Senator Warner then directly asked Rogers whether the reports were true, to which Rogers referred him back to the previous answer, stating “I’m not going to discuss the specifics of conversations with the President of the United States but I stand by that statement I just made to you sir.”
