Attorney General Jeff Sessions testified in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, where he strongly dismissed left-wing conspiracy theories that he helped collude with the Russian Government in order for President Trump to win the election.
“I have never met with or had any conversation with any Russians or any foreign officials concerning any type of interference with any campaign or election in the United States. Furthermore, I do not have any known knowledge of any such conversations by anyone connected to the Trump campaign,” Sessions told the committee.
“The suggestion that I participated in any collusion with the Russian government to hurt this country, which I have served with honor for 35 years, or to undermine the integrity of our Democratic process, is an appalling and detestable lie,” Sessions said.

Sessions also slammed any accusations that he lied to Democratic Sen. Al Franken during his confirmation hearing in January, saying that reports of him being at a gala also attended by Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak are “entirely beside the point” of the Senate’s investigation.
