Now that it appears a leftist has acted on his rage against Republicans and Donald Trump, will liberals finally tone down the violent, crass rhetoric?
On Wednesday morning, James Hodgkinson of Illinois reportedly opened fire on members of Congress as they practiced for a charity baseball game.
Numerous reports indicate he was a democratic socialist, a Bernie Sanders supporter, and followed left-wing media outlets and personalities.
Republican Rep. Rodney Davis blamed “political rhetorical terrorism” for the attack, Fox News reports.
“This is the result, I believe, of political rhetorical terrorism. That has to stop,” he told “America’s Newsroom.”
Popular and political culture has been awash in actions and rhetoric depicting the death of the president since Trump too office in January.
Just this week, the New York City Public Theater staged the assassination of a Trump look-alike, and passed it off as “art” and just another day in the park.
Here’s the video:
Echoing the fate of Julius Caesar, “Trump” was stabbed and left bloodied on the stage.
Last week, “comedian” Kathy Griffin posed with what was intended to be the bloodied, severed head of President Trump.

Griffin could be seen laughing during the photo shoot, seemingly comprehending the blow back she was about to receive.
When that indeed came, she attempted to play the victim.
In March, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch raised eyebrows when she used graphic language to spur on Democrats.
She issued a video on behalf of Senate Democrats urging Americans to resist in the time of “fear and uncertainty for so many people.”
Lynch lamented “our rights being assailed, being trampled on and even being rolled back,” according to the hostage-like video, which has since been deleted.
She said it’s required “work” to “achieve the ideals of our Founding Fathers.”
“It has been people, individuals who have banded together, ordinary people who simply saw what needed to be done and came together and supported those ideals who have made the difference.
“They’ve marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again.”
The video ended with the Senate Democrats logo and website address.
So, Democrats, when does your “resist” campaign go too far? When all Republicans are dead?
