Americans think Melania Trump is doing a better job as first lady than Hillary Clinton did when her husband occupied the oval office.

According to Fox News:

Fifty-one percent of voters view Melania Trump favorably.  That’s up 14 points since December and up 16 points from the first time the Fox News Poll asked about her last summer.  At that time, 35 percent viewed the wife of the controversial candidate favorably and 40 percent unfavorably (August 2016).  Twenty-four percent couldn’t rate her.

Melania Trump’s popularity has surged among virtually all demographics, up 24 percent among Republicans and 12 percent among Democrats. About 17 percent more men view her favorably, and about 15 percent more women gave her a thumbs up than in August.

She’s also up 18 percentage points among voters under the age of 45 and 16 percent among voters over that age, compared to the previous poll.

Overall, 55 percent of men and 48 percent of women approve of the first lady.

The data proves Melania Trump is in a better place than Hillary Clinton was during her husband’s first term.

“When Clinton was first lady, she was close behind at 49 percent,” according to AOL.com. “Former President Bill Clinton had the same approval rating as Melania his first year as president.”

The Fox News Poll puts Hillary Clinton’s current favorability rating at 40 percent, a figure that’s steadily declined from a high of about 45 percent in October 2016.

Like his wife, President Trump’s popularity is also trending upwards.

Fox News reports “47 percent of voters have a favorable opinion of him.

“It was 44 percent in March and 38 percent just before November’s election,” according to the news site. “His current rating matches a previous high set in December 2016.”

Trump’s highest approval ratings come from his handling of terrorism and the economy, while he received lower marks for health care and foreign policy.

Vice President Mike Pence received the same overall favorability rating as Trump in the Fox News Poll, which was conducted by land and cell phones with 1,017 randomly selected registered voters between June 25 and June 27.

Congressional leaders, meanwhile, are seemingly despised by Americans.

A paltry 37 percent of those polled think favorably of House Speaker Paul Ryan, compared to 45 percent who don’t like him. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s favorability was even worse, with 33 percent favorable versus 50 percent unfavorable.

In the Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is viewed favorably by 25 percent of those polled, and unfavorably by 41 percent. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer received similar ratings of 26 percent favorable and 35 percent unfavorable.
