The presidential election may have been 267 days ago, but John Podesta is still bitter, and he isn’t hiding it well.
The chairman of the failed Hillary Clinton campaign appeared on CNN today, and had a visceral reaction when he was asked if he or Hillary are surprised President Trump still talks about her.
Podesta contends it’s “unprecedented” that Trump still talks about Clinton and her various nefarious activities.
“You never saw that behavior from any other president who’s talking about the person they beat,” he says.
“I think it really just bugs the hell out of him that she got three million more votes than he did and he keeps coming back to that.”
It clearly bugs the hell out of Clinton, Inc. that Trump won the Electoral College, 304 to 227.
“Obviously, we bear the burden of having lost the Electoral College, so I lose sleep about that every night,” he confessed
When host Alisyn Camerota asked Podesta what Hillary would think about that, he plugged her upcoming book.
“I think she’s reflected on the mistakes that she’s made, what she might have done different, but I think she’ll also talk about where the country is and how to move forward,” he said.
Podesta added that when Hillary gets “knocked down,” she tries to make a “positive contribution coming out of that.”
Despite Podesta’s claims, AOL reports Clinton’s book will focus on culprits other than herself.
According to the Hill, Clinton will double down on her theory that Russia’s election meddling and James Comey’s public remarks over her email investigation ultimately cost her the election. …
But one adviser said recent reports of Russia’s involvement have left Clinton feeling “validated.”
Clinton will also reportedly focus on how sexism and misogyny affected her campaign.
“[Clinton] wants the whole story out there from her own perspective. I think a lot of people are going to be really surprised by how much she reveals,” a “longtime ally” says.
