It seems CNN reporter Jim Acosta is more interested in being the story than actually telling the story.
That was evident again on Monday when he caused a scene in the White House after President Trump’s condemnation of racist groups.
CNN's @Acosta to Trump: Can we ask you more questions?
Trump: "I like real news, not fake news. You're fake news." https://t.co/m4KiTC6lrK— CNN (@CNN) August 14, 2017
CNN tweeted video of the back and forth.
Acosta demanded to know why the president did not “condemn those hate groups by name over the weekend.”
Trump did so on Monday.
Acosta, the only reporter shouting anything, wanted to know why Trump wasn’t having a press conference.
“We had a press conference. We just had a press conference,” Trump responded.
After the CNN reporter said he wanted to ask more questions, the president said, “It doesn’t bother me at all but I like real news, not fake news. You’re fake news.”
Then Acosta gleefully inserted his personal opinion into the drama:
Yes and I responded: "haven't you spread a lot of fake news yourself, sir?" https://t.co/Cz1Aks3cIj

“Haven’t you spread a lot of fake news yourself, sir?” he said, and then tweeted later.
After the moment, Trump lashed out, writing, “Made additional remarks on Charlottesville and realize once again that the #Fake News Media will never be satisfied.”
Made additional remarks on Charlottesville and realize once again that the #Fake News Media will never be satisfied…truly bad people!
