CNN ended up with a bit of egg on its face when the news site reported “Jerry Lee Lewis” died on Sunday.

Comedian Jerry Lewis died, not the singer.

But Google reports Jerry Lee Lewis dead, too:

The confusion forced Jerry Lee Lewis III to respond by tweeting, “My father did not pass.”

My father did not pass. Thank you for thinking of us though. The great Jerry Lewis, actor and humanitarian passed. Lord let him RIP

Jerry Lewis died Sunday at 91.
