Nancy Pelosi spoke for less than 8 minutes to the LBJ Foundation on Wednesday, but some attendees may have left the event wondering what is wrong with the House Minority Leader.

She was seen repeating words, having trouble speaking and botched “Lyndon Baines Johnson” — twice.

Early in her remarks, she told the audience to applaud for her.

“I want to acknowledge Larry Temple, the chairman of the LBJ Foundation board of trustees. Of course Ambassador Hand and Cappy McGarr for their wonderful leadership. Let’s— those are applause lines,” Pelosi instructed the crowd, triggering clapping among attendees.

Pelosi chuckled into the microphone.

Talking about the former president, whom an informant reportedly told the FBI was a member of the Texas KKK, “I want to quoot— uh, quote Lyndon Baine (sic) Johnson inaugural address,” she said.

Seconds later, she uttered gibberish before collecting herself and continuing to speak.

“All of the beautiful expressions of the art— arts,” she said, about Rubenstein’s contributions to American society.

She repeated herself. “Perhaps they will be tonight, perhaps they will be tonight,” she said, looking down and trailing off.

“As has been said earlier, to receive the Lyndon Bean (sic) Johnson,” she said before an awkward pause, Liberty & Justice Award.”

Pelosi handed out the “Liberty & Justice for All Award” to David Rubenstein.
