Nancy Pelosi apparently thinks she’s everyone’s mother — including the President of the United States.

During a Wednesday Congressional ceremony honoring former Sen. Bob Dole, she told President Trump, Vice President Pence, congressional leaders, members of Congress and guests when to clap during her remarks.

“I first want to pay tribute to the sponsors of the resolution,” Pelosi said, “Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins, Congressman — Whip Steny Hoyer, Sen. Roberts and Sen. Leahy. Thank you. Thank you for your leadership in getting this done so expeditiously.

“It is fitting — that was an applause line for our sponsors,” Pelosi interrupted herself before a quiet room at the Congressional Gold Medal ceremony.

She turned to look at Trump and laughed.

Pelosi tripped over words.

“As he healed from the great wo– wounds sustained while risking his life for a fellow soldier and decided to come to Congress and to serve the people of Con– Kansas here,” she said.

“It gives my colleagues in the House and me great deep pride to know that Sen. Bob Dole first served in Washington as a member of the House of Representatives. That could be an applause line, but I guess not,” she admonished the crowd with a laugh as the began to applaud.

Later, the crowd applauded unprovoked, which seemed to stump Pelosi.

“His commitment reaffirms our sacred pledge. Just as the military leaves no one behind on the battlefield, we must leave no veteran behind when they come home,” she said as people clapped.

“Okay…” she responded to the applause.

It’s not the first time Pelosi has told an audience when to applaud for her.

During a February appearance before Families USA, repeatedly told the audience to clap.

After attendees didn’t applaud after she congratulated them for her work, she said, “When I said we could not have done it without Families USA, that is an applause line for you.”

She added, “Applause line!” after she said she looked forward to continuing to work with the activist group.
