When The View’s Joy Behar sided with Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin over President Trump on Thursday, co-host Meghan McCain was the only one of four others on the talk show panel to call her out.

“We’ve gotten to the point in this world now where we have to rely on the sanity of Kim Jong Un and Putin over the President of the United States,” Behar said. “That’s where we’re at.

“ … One of the guys over there said, ‘We do not do diplomacy by tweet,’” she said. “Thank you.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin questioned Trump’s “ability to compartmentalize” and whether revelations about porn star Stormy Daniels and other controversies are impacting his judgement. Behar then doted on Bill Clinton, who “was famous for being able to compartmentalize.

“Monica Lewinsky,” she said, gesturing with one hand.

“Syria,” she said, gesturing with the other.

“He can do it,” Behar said. “Trump can’t do it.”

That’s when McCain jumped in to put the conversation into perspective.

“There is no way for him to win, though, if he says nothing about Russia people get angry. When he’s threatening Russia, people also get angry,” she said.

“I think that we really need to pick our battles. I know it’s like sort of funny to laugh about this, but we are talking about genocide in Syria,” McCain said.

“My issue is the moral relativism between someone like Kim Jong Un and Putin and President Trump,” she said.

Behar chimed in.

“Do you think Kim Jong Un is less moral than Trump?” she questioned. “Do you?”

“Yes, oh my God, Putin is aiding and abetting Assad right now,” McCain said.

“On what topic?” Behar pressed.

“Chemical gassing of children!” McCain exclaimed.

“Last time I checked, America isn’t doing that to anyone,” she said to a roaring applause.

“Joy, I’m really trying right now and there’s some frustration about the way we’re communicating about this and I completely understand it, but I will say it’s hard for me to sit here with moral relativism about many things with Trump,” she said.

“If you think Kim Jong Un, Vladimir Putin, Bashar Assad, and President Trump are the exact same thing,” she said, “is when you lose all arguments with me, in every way.”

The heated exchange is the latest in Behar’s incessant attacks on Trump and other conservatives since the billionaire real estate mogul won the 2016 election.

In February, Behar was forced to publicly apologize to Vice President Mike Pence for mocking his Christian faith, which she described as a “mental illness.”
