Elizabeth Warren may have gone pale in the face when she heard Nancy Pelosi speak today.
The House Minority Leader was appearing with Deb Haaland, the Democrat nominee for New Mexico’s 1st Congressional district, when Pelosi effectively dismissed Warren’s suggestion that she’s a Native American.

“When [Deb Haaland] comes to Congress, think of it… she’ll come there as the first Native American woman ever in the history of our country,” Pelosi said.
Last weekend, while appearing with the Massachusetts senator, Deb Haaland, the Democrat nominee for New Mexico’s 1st Congressional district, opened her remarks to the Netroots conference with an applause line.
“If elected, I will be the first Native American woman in Congress,” Haaland said, speaking in the same group as Warren, according to the agenda.
The crowd erupted.
Apparently they aren’t buying Warren’s story about a grandmother with high cheek bones, either.
So far, Warren has been unwilling to prove her alleged heritage.
V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai, a Republican challenging Warren for her U.S. Senate seat in 2018, mailed a DNA test kit to her for Warren to prove that she truly is a Native American, a claim she made that helped her secure a position at Harvard University.
I'm deeply saddened @SenWarren refused my thoughtful (gift-wrapped) Birthday Gift: the 23&me DNA Test Kit. Most unfortunate! #FakeIndian pic.twitter.com/BI7F20wDW8

Ayyadurai spent $102.49 on the kit and had it shipped directly to Warren’s house. She rejected it and it was returned and Ayyadurai received a refund.
“A refund will appear on your original payment method in 2-4 business days,” a statement read from Amazon.com to Ayyadurai.
“I’m deeply saddened Sen. Warren refused my thoughtful (gift-wrapped) Birthday Gift: the 23 & me DNA test kit. Most unfortunate!” he tweeted on Sunday, adding the hashtag #FakeIndian.
Ayyadurai is a real Indian.
President Trump often pokes fun at Warren over her Native American claims, ridiculing her as “Pocahontas.”
During a recent appearance on “Fox & Friends,” the president upped his insult:

“I call her Pocahontas — and that’s an insult to Pocahontas,” he said.
Addressing the NRA in April as the first sitting president since Ronald Reagan, Trump took aim at Warren again.
“I have a feeling that in the next election, you’re gonna be swamped with candidates, but you’re not gonna be wasting your time.
“You’re gonna have plenty of those Democrats coming over and you’re gonna say, ‘No, sir, no thank you — no ma’am.’
“Perhaps ma’am, it may be Pocahontas, remember that,” Trump said as the 10,000 attendees laughed at the nickname for the senator who’s claimed Native American heritage because of her “high cheek bones.”
“And she is not big for the NRA, that I can tell you,” Trump added.
