“I will be questioning Judge Kavanaugh at length in this week’s Judiciary Committee hearing to shed more light on his views and record,” Booker wrote on behalf of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee.
Meanwhile, Booker’s colleague, Sen. Dick Durbin, admitted Democrats have launched a coordinated effort to stall and derail Kavanaugh’s nomination.
Sen. Thom Tillis read a tweet from NBC’s Kasie Hunt:
Democrats plotted coordinated protest strategy over the holiday weekend and all agreed to disrupt and protest the hearing, sources tell me and @frankthorp
Dem leader @chuckschumer led a phone call and committee members are executing now

“Democrats plotted coordinated protest strategy over the holiday weekend and all agreed to disrupt and protest the hearing,” Hunt reported.
She adds Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer led the call.
“None of the members on this committee participated in that phone call or that strategy before the documents were released yesterday? Are you suggesting that this allegation is false?” Tillis asked his Democrat colleagues.
Durbin admitted as much, saying, “There was a phone conference yesterday, and I can tell you at the time of the phone conference, many issues were raised.”
Sen. Orrin Hatch noted several of those grandstanding are considering a run for president and are looking for “that coveted TV clip.”
