The media now claims that President Donald Trump’s policies are responsible for the deaths of migrants.
During an interview Thursday on MSNBC, network correspondent Jacob Soboroff declared that Trump’s policies were responsible for the “preventable and predictable” death of a migrant child in U.S. custody.
“Nobody, children or otherwise, are supposed to be held in border patrol processing stations that are well known to be unsanitary, dangerous environments for people to stay in for longer than 72 hours,” he declared.
“The idea this boy spent nearly a week jumping between multiple border patrol processing stations and ultimately he became sick is actually not surprising at all,” he added.
“It should have us talking why he was there for so long. And the answer is Trump administration policies put this young boy, Felipe Alonzo-Gomez, in the situation where he and his father decided to cross in between ports of entry, present themselves to seek asylum, and we well know that it’s very difficult for people to seek asylum now in the legal way that historically people have used,” Soboroff claimed.
He added: “Of course, it’s a tragedy these two kids died, but it was preventable and predictable based on the fact we knew what these facilities were like all along.”
Soboroff was blaming the Trump administration for the death of a young migrant child, who died in U.S. custody recently after his father dangerously forced him to embark on a long journey from Mexico to the U.S. and then refused medical attention from American officials.
The media outrage over Alonzo-Gomez’s death, which possibly could have been prevented if his father had accepted medical treatment, has been beyond reproach.
According to a DHS call this morning the child’s father was offered but rejected medical treatment after the child threw up https://t.co/5Ns6Jtd9Uz

This is despicable and dishonest. The editor of @thedailybeast thinks it's appropriate to falsely blame CBP for this death, despite all evidence suggesting they did everything possible to save this child's life.
Also, neither the child or dad were being prosecuted. https://t.co/yA20MdWnup

But more importantly, the media wasn’t outraged when a reported 18 migrants died in U.S. custody while former President Barack Obama was in office.
“In July 2016, Human Rights Watch condemned the Obama administration for 18 migrants who died while in the custody of USCBP, claiming that seven or more of the 18 died as the result of the agency’s “substandard” and “inappropriate” care for migrants at detention centers. The detainees who died then were between 24 and 49 years old,” Townhall reports.
There was no mass liberal media outrage then over this.
According to The Washington Times, the Obama administration also used tear-gas more than once a month during the later years of his presidency.
The Trump administration recently used tear gas when hundreds of migrants in the caravan attempted to rush the border in southern California.
At the time, liberals accused the president of human rights violations and demanded that he be removed from office.
But there was no liberal media outrage over Obama’s actions at all.
And let’s not forget the media, liberal activists, and Democratic lawmakers losing their minds earlier this year when photos surfaced showing migrants in “cages” at U.S. detention centers.
The photos scorched across social media and resulted in many going off half-cocked saying the Trump administration has full-blown concentration camps.
Of course, the photos were from 2014, when Obama was in office.
In Trump’s two years in office, two migrant children have died in U.S. custody, with one father refusing medical care that could have saved his child’s life.
While Obama was in office, at least 18 migrants died while in the custody of immigration officials.
The media was silent when Obama was in office, and now they’re accusing Trump of deliberately killing migrants and running concentration camps in America.
