What was once considered “racist” to say or joke about is now a complete joke to former President Barack Obama.
Obama showed up in Hawaii on Monday for an Obama Foundation event and found it hilarious to joke about being unable to “vouch” for his own Hawaiian birth.
“There are rumors that I was born about a mile from here. I have a birth certificate,” Obama said, with people in the audience laughing. “I cannot vouch for the fact that I was born here because I was very small at the time. But people who were there say it’s true.”
The “joke” is in reference to the so-called “birther” movement, where some during his presidency questioned Obama’s U.S. citizenship.
For years, numerous liberals and media figures declared it racist to question Obama’s birth certificate, but now apparently it’s all fun and games when Democrats do it.
Obama also called for “new blood” in politics, which is odd given he has been out of office for two years and refuses to remove himself from the political spotlight.
“People cling to power instead of seeing the power in other people,” he said.
He said the country has “a deficit of leadership, and we need new blood,” which was undoubtedly a shot at President Donald Trump.
Throughout his speech, the stutterer-in-chief continued to look down and read from note cards.
Without his trusty teleprompter, the former president’s speech was full of long pauses and him being unable to keep his eyes on the crowd for longer than a few seconds.
Obama’s speech in Hawaii comes after he used an event last month to demand more gun control in America.
While being honored as a Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope laureate, Obama said his failure to enact tougher gun control policies was his greatest failure while in office.
He then blamed the lack of such laws for the deaths of former President John F. Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and Trayvon Martin.

“The horror of gun violence continues to plague our nation, a pain that many in this room know too well,” Obama said, dramatically pausing while staring into the crowd.
“Bullets that took Bobby and JFK and Dr. King are just like the bullets that took Trayvon and those schoolchildren in Newtown, and those police officers in Dallas and those concert-goers in Vegas, those congregants in Thousand Oaks,” he added.
Obama’s comments aren’t surprising given how bitter he has been lately.
The former president recently said Fox News viewers live in an “entirely different reality” and called Trump a confused, angry racist who has “mommy issues.”
Obama continues to spend most of his speeches boasting about himself and trashing Republicans and the president.
