The story of the alleged racist, homophobic attack on “Empire” star Jussie Smollett is premised on the fact that a racist homophobe watches “Empire.”

The Blast reports:

The Chicago PD tells The Blast they received a report of a possible “racially-charged” assault and battery involving a cast member of the show “Empire.”

The narrative from cops describes Smollett walking down the street near his residence when two unknown people approached and began yelling out “racial” and “homophobic” slurs towards him. The offenders began to “batter the victim with their hands” and “poured an unknown chemical substance” on Smollett.

Cops say they were told a rope was also wrapped around Smollett’s neck before the two guys fled the scene. Smollett transported himself to a local hospital and is reportedly in “good condition.”

TMZ reports one of the attackers said, “Aren’t you that f***ot ‘Empire’ n*****?”

The site also claims the assailants said, “This is MAGA country.”

The alleged attack occurred at 2 am on Monday. It would have been around 8 degrees, according to Weather Underground.

Just 10 days ago, Smollett let the world know what he thinks of Trump and his supporters, which may cast doubt on his claims he was targeted by them.

Tweeting a video of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s first speech on the House floor, Smollett wrote, “45 and all his white hooded cohorts are a national disgrace. And if you support them…so are you. Clowns.”

Trump hater Maxine Waters jumped to Smollett’s defense.

“Jussie is my friend – a very talented & beautiful human being. It is so hurtful that homophobic haters would dare hurt someone so loving and giving. I’m dedicated to finding the culprits and bringing them to justice. Jussie did not deserve to be harmed by anyone!” she wrote.

So to believe this story, we must accept the premise that a racist homophobe watches “Empire,” would be out on a freezing Chicago street at 2am with rope and bleach, would recognize the actor, and then be so motivated to actually act on the hatred.

And attack an actor, by the way, who has a documented hatred for Trump supporters.

You decide if his story is plausible.
