NBA legend Charles Barkley has some sage advice for America.
“America, let me just tell you something. Do not commit crimes with checks,” he said. “Come on, man. If you’re gonna break the law, do not write a check.”
“Get cash, man!”
Barkley was on fire during Thursday’s TNT coverage of the Houston Rockets versus the Los Angeles Clippers with rapid-fire shots at gay black actor Jussie Smollett, to the point he had fellow analysts Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith snickering nonstop and host Ernie Johnson begging him to stop.
MUST WATCH: Charles Barkley savagely roasts Jussie Smollett all night long on @NBAonTNT… and they tried to cut away from it, but he wouldn’t let it go. Shaq couldn’t stop laughing. 😂

“Jussie, you wasted all that damn time and money. You know what you should have did? Just went over to Liam Neeson’s neighborhood. It could have solved all your damn problems,” Barkley joked, taking a jab at both recent controversies.
When the guys were playing a game to predict how the 2019 season will unfold, Smith asked Barkley: “Is there a ridiculous one over there that you would say still has a chance of happening?”
“Two black guys beating a black guy up,” Barkley said, sending Shaq into a fit of laughter.
“What kind of hats did they have on Chuck?” Shaq asked.
“MAGAs,” Barkley answered. “MAGA hats.”
“Alright, I think that’s probably, that’s probably it,” Johnson interjected. “I can’t believe you, Chuck.”
Shaq kept it going.
“Chuck, they playing with cash, or he write them a check?” he questioned, egging Barkley on.
That’s when Barkley offered his wisdom about sticking to cash for criminal transactions.
AND Charles Barkley kept roasting Jussie Smollett… and @NBAonTNT even made a fake $3500 check to pay “Muggers” for “Mugging supplies” pic.twitter.com/nTYg8oKgXl

The hilarious bit comes as Smollett faces a felony charge for concocting a fake hate crime to frame Trump supporters with the help of two Nigerian brothers he worked with on the set of “Empire,” a Fox television show.
The brothers told police Smollett paid them $3,500 with a check to stage the crime as Smollett returned to his apartment from a Subway sandwich shop. Smollett alleged his attackers recognized him as “that fa**ot ni**er” from Empire, beat him repeatedly, douched him with bleach and put a noose around his neck before running off into the night shouting about downtown Chicago is “MAGA country.”
The brothers told police it was all a lie, and they confirmed with video footage of the men buying supplies for the hate hoax at a Chicago hardware store and beauty supply shop. Police also reportedly tracked the Uber the men took to rough up Smollett, as well as the check the actor wrote the brothers.
The men told detectives Smollett was unsatisfied with his salary and initially sent a racist hate letter to himself at the Fox studios, but when that didn’t solicit the response he’d hoped for the actor concocted the fake hate crime to take it up a notch.
On TNT, the guys took it up a notch themselves with a fake check posted up on the big screen made out to “Muggers,” with “mugging supplies” in the memo.
“I think an NBA rule … you can’t put a false report that someone’s hurt and they’re not,” Smith said, referring to player injuries.
“What you say?” Barkley razzed, laughing out loud. “Truer words have never been said.”
