Move over Bernie Sanders: Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke is the media’s new golden boy for 2020.

After announcing his campaign for president, O’Rourke headed to Keokuk, Iowa where he appeared at the The Lost Canvas Coffee Shop on Thursday.

Judging by photos from the event, there appeared to be more reporters than supporters there to greet the failed U.S. Senate candidate.

“There are so many people here,” O’Rourke told the owner of the shop, according to KHQA’s Melissa Shriver.

That may have seemed to be the case, since the place was so small.
