As another example that the targeting of conservatives on social media is real, White House Social Media Director Dan Scavino logged onto Facebook yesterday only to discover he had been temporarily banned from commenting on his own posts.
“Dear Facebook,” Scavino wrote on Monday.
“AMAZING. WHY ARE YOU STOPPING ME from replying to comments followers have left me – on my own Facebook Page!!?? People have the right to know. Why are you silencing me??? Please LMK! Thanks.
The notice from Facebook states “some of your comments have been reported as spam,” and Scavino had the option to dispute the action by clicking “This is a mistake,” or accepting it by hitting “OK.”
Scavino’s public page has over 296,000 followers and has a 4.8 rating out of a possible 5.
Facebook said the ban was “temporary,” but didn’t give a length of time his interaction with fans would be blocked.
