Leave it to the left-wing company Twitter to try to harm the opening weekend of an anti-abortion movie.

The social media giant temporarily suspended the account of “Unplanned,” a pro-life movie critical of Planned Parenthood that is now in theaters.

“Trying to figure out why the Unplanned movie account has been suspended,” actress and film star Ashley Bratcher tweeted this afternoon. “We need answers.”

She included an image showing that the account had been suspended.

Mike Lindell, owner of MyPillow and one of the movie’s funders, said Twitter doesn’t want Americans to see the movie.

“Make your voices heard and tell your friends to go see the movie this weekend!” he wrote.

Unplanned was appreciative after Twitter ended the censorship hours after it began.

“Thank you everyone for your support in letting & know when our Unplanned Movie account was recently suspended without cause,” they tweeted.

“We are back and excited for the great response we’re getting in theaters this weekend.”

Early returns indicate Americans are doing just that.

Forbes reports:

Written and directed by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman, the $6 million-budgeted flick, about a former Planned Parenthood clinic director turned anti-abortion activist, earned $2.72 million on Friday, setting the stage for a likely $7.25 million debut weekend. If that holds up, then it’ll be PureFlix’s second-biggest opening weekend behind the $7.6 million launch of God’s Not Dead 2 three years ago this weekend. That sequel earned $20 million domestic so we could see a similar result for the Abby Johnson biopic. That would be a big win, since most of the faith-based biggies still come from Sony and Lionsgate as opposed to the various small-scale distributors.

Unplanned says its account went from 3,000 followers to over 35,000 in the wake of the suspension.
