A raging humanitarian and security crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border, the impending doom of climate change, and the ungodly high cost of airport croissants can wait.
AOC has some decorating to do.
The socialist congresswoman from New York is making time for what’s truly important, meeting up with Queer Eye star Bobby Berk to discuss her drab digs on Capitol Hill.
The two connected on Twitter Tuesday to make it happen.
Hey @AOC! I’m in DC all week girl! Put me to work! “Have time… will work for democracy!”
— Bobby Berk (@bobbyberk) April 2, 2019
“Hey @AOC! I’m in DC all week girl! Put me to work! ‘Have time … will work for democracy!” Berk posted just after midnight.
Ocasio-Cortez responded around 7 a.m., a few hours before a House Oversight and Reform Committee meeting.
Swing by our office!
We’ve barely had time to hang anything up, three of my staffers are expecting babies, and we’ve got a bach pad/warehouse type situation out here. 😩 SOS!
(The good news is that people are leaving a rainbow of positive post-its on our wall so that’s cute) https://t.co/vOHE6tHuMA

“Yay!” Berk shot back. “Would love too!”
While AOC and Berk discuss drapes and ponder the possibilities for office furniture, illegal immigrants are flooding across the southern border in record numbers, risking the lives of their children to exploit America’s lax immigration policies.
Videos surfaced Tuesday of migrants forcing their screaming children underwater to clear a fence over a drainage ditch protected by razor wire. Border Patrol officials, meanwhile, are pleading with Democrats to visit and witness the chaos first hand.
There’s also a supposed climate crisis that could end the world as we know it in about a decade, AOC claims.
Last week, she compared the issue to the September 11 terrorist attacks.
.@AOC: “Three thousand Americans died in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. Where is our response?” #inners

“On the events of September 11, 2001, thousands of Americans died in the largest terror attack on US soil,” she told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes. “Our national response was war in one then eventually two countries: 3,000 Americans died in Puerto Rico due to Hurricane Maria. Where is our response?”
Three days later she was tweeting about the high cost of croissants.
Croissants at LaGuardia are going for SEVEN DOLLARS A PIECE 😱
Yet some people think getting a whole hour of personal, dedicated human labor for $15 is too expensive??
