Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks her colleague, decorated war hero Dan Crenshaw, should “go do something” about terrorism.
The representative from New York took aim at Crenshaw Thursday after the former U.S. Navy SEAL turned representative from Texas criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar’s reference to the September 11 terrorist attacks as “some people who did something.”
“First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as ‘some people who did something,’” Crenshaw posted to Twitter. “Unbelievable.”
AOC didn’t hesitate to defend Omar, a fellow Justice Democrat, by insinuating Crenshaw hasn’t done enough to protect victims of terrorism.
You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes.
In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that? https://t.co/rkb92IxkKX

“You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/ completely out-of-context quotes,” AOC shot back. “In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that?”
The comments – and calling Crenshaw’s dedication to fighting terrorism into question – are about as ridiculous as the details AOC’s Green New Deal.
Crenshaw served as a Navy SEAL for a decade, including three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan spent literally fighting terrorists in the field. It was during a tour in Afghanistan in 2012 that an improvised explosive device detonated in his face, costing him his right eye.
Crenshaw earned two Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with valor before his medical retirement in 2016.
In other words, while AOC was dancing on a rooftop at Boston College, Crenshaw was at war hunting down the terrorist groups behind the September 11 attacks. While Omar was building her political career in the Minnesota Department of Education and caring for her young daughter, Crenshaw was struggling to recover from the severe injuries he sustained while fighting for their freedoms.
That reality wasn’t lost on folks online.
Are you aware that you’re speaking to a veteran who lost his eye in combat?

“Are you are aware that you’re speaking to a veteran who lost his eye in combat?” Caleb Hull questioned.
Americans are the worst part about America, especially @DanCrenshawTX, who fought for American imperialism. He has no right to speak to a Muslim immigrant WOC. @IlhanMN is free to minimize 9/11 as much as she is free to advocate for the freedom of ISIS terrosists on US soil.
