House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was downright giddy in the presence of U2 singer Bono today.

Pelosi delivered an addressed to the Irish parliament on Wednesday, and giggled bizarrely as the crowd applauded.

Watch:

“Bono, U2, one of Ireland’s most beloved exports, whose music and mission,” she told the Dáil Éireann as legislators broken into applause, and Pelosi a giggle fit after she muttered, “Where are you?”

“Oh, there you are,” she said, finally seeing the rocker.

“Whose music and mission of advocacy stirs the spirit of the world, while embracing the pride of Irish,” she continued, suffering a mouth problem.

“We’ve learned so much at U2 concerts about what’s going on in Ireland,” she said.

But it wasn’t all business for the San Francisco pol.
