A strange tweet from Burger King over the weekend seemingly encouraged patrons to throw milkshakes at their political opponents, and that’s just what happened again today.

“Dear people of Scotland. We’re selling milkshakes all weekend,” the company wrote.
“Have fun.”
The tweet came after Tommy Robinson was hit with two milkshakes last week, seen here:
Burger King attempted to cover its rear with a follow up tweet:

“We’ve never endorse violence – or wasting our delicious milkshakes!” the company wrote.
The original tweet has nearly 20,000 retweets and over 107,000 “likes.” The clarification…not so much. 707 retweets and 9,700 “likes.”
But Nigel Farage was the victim of a similar attack today during a walkabout in Newcastle:

“A complete failure,” Farage lectured his security agent as he was taken back to his car.
Will Burger King accept responsibility for fostering an environment of attacks?
