Joe Biden’s confusion continues.
For at least the second time, he referred to former British Prime Minister Theresa May as “Margaret Thatcher.”
CNN provides the quote:
Here's the Biden quote from tonight. He was talking about international reaction to Trump's comments on the Charlottesville white supremacist rallies. He caught himself before fully saying "Thatcher," saying "excuse me," but didn't replace it with another name. pic.twitter.com/wqbFgITNiy

“And words that stunned the nation, and I would argue — I know — shocked the world. International leaders poke about it. You had people like Margaret Tha– excuse me. You had people like the former chairman and the leader of the party in the — in Germany.”
CNN reporter Daniel Dale notes Biden “caught himself before fully saying ‘Thatcher,’ saying ‘excuse me,’ but didn’t replace it with another name.”
It’s not the first time Biden has erroneously referred to “Margaret Thatcher.”
Biden, who would be 78 on Inauguration Day, told a small group of donors in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday that “14 heads of state” have contacted him, and “voiced concerns about Trump.”
Bloomberg reported in May:
That list included Margaret Thatcher, he said, before correcting what he called a “Freudian slip,” that he was actually referring to current British Prime Minister Theresa May.
Thatcher died in 2013. She left office in 1990.
Biden decried Trump calling his foes names, before the former vice president called him a “clown” and “no good S.O.B.,” according to Bloomberg.
Biden concluded the thought on Thursday by saying, “International leaders looked at us like what in God’s name is happening to the United States of America?”
They might actually be wondering what in God’s name is happening to Joe Biden.
