During the Democratic Debate in Houston tonight, Joe Biden mistakenly referred to Bernie Sanders as the president.

While ranting about health care, Biden said, “And if you notice, nobody’s yet said how much it’s going to cost the taxpayer. I hear this ‘large savings.’ The president thinks— my friend of Vermont thinks…” he said, referring to Sanders.
It’s not the first time Biden has referred to one of his Democratic opponents as the president.
In July, Biden called Cory Booker the “future president.”

“The fact is, the bill that the president— excuse me, the future president here,” Biden said as he grimaced and reached out to put his hand on Booker’s arm.
Moments later, Booker responded, “I’m grateful that he endorsed my presidency already.”
