The Yang Gang has had it with the Democratic National Convention and mainstream media.
Just a reminder that @AndrewYang has performed better than Klobuchar and Steyer in EVERY POLL currently making up the National RCP consensus, but won’t be on stage tonight….@TheDemocrats and @TomPerez want to disenfranchise AT LEAST 5%+ of their base…#YangGang pic.twitter.com/dnuN5IhnxO

“Just remember that @AndrewYang has performed better than Klobuchar and Steyer in EVERY POLL currently making up the National RCP consensus, but won’t be on the stage tonight,” MetaJawBone posted to Twitter Tuesday. “@TheDemocrats and @TomPerez want to disenfranchise AT LEAST 5%+ of their base …”
Yang was left off the list for the seventh and final Democratic debate before the Iowa caucuses next month – the first contest of the 2020 presidential race. The all-white debate will feature six candidates including former vice president Joe Biden, Socialist Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, billionaire Tom Steyer, former South Bend, Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, NBC News reports.
None of the minority candidates still in the race qualified to take the stage. Of the remaining minority candidates – Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, and Yang, an Asian entrepreneur – Yang is the closest to breaking into the top tier, and his supporters are livid he was left out Tuesday.
It’s not just the 5%, many of whom will still vote blue. But disenfranchise a large portion of the folks supporting Yang who either not Democrats/ have no history of voting Democrats. The very same voters you need to win swing States/Electoral college then thats on the DNC/MSM

According to NBC News:
Higher qualification thresholds have quickly whittled down the field. To qualify for Tuesday’s debate, candidates had to raise money from 225,000 unique donors and hit at least 5 percent in four different national polls or 7 percent in two polls from early voting states. …
Polling was used to determine where the participants will stand on stage, with the best-polling candidates in the center and the lower polling candidates fanning out to the sides. From left to right, the order is Steyer, Warren, Biden, Sanders, Buttigieg and Klobuchar.
The Yang Gang is rightfully upset because their candidate has consistently outpolled both Klobuchar and Steyer. Yang tied or led both candidates in four out of the last five polls used to calculate the Real Clear Politics average, viewed by many as one of the more reliable barometers for the 2020 race.
Since the last Democratic debate in December, when Yang was the sole minority candidate on stage, he’s polled at 5 percent in three different national polls, compared to one poll at 5 percent for Klobuchar and none for Steyer.
Yang told ABC News the smoke and mirrors used to decide who gets to debate lacks “flexibility” and “rationality”

“I want to be on that debate stage,” he said, “Right now, the best thing we can do is continue to drive the campaign forward right here in Iowa and New Hampshire, make sure we make the next debate stage, and more importantly, make sure that we have a history-making performance when voting starts (on Feb. 3).
“That’s where my focus is. I understand the frustration. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped get me on every debate stage up to this one. We did earn a spot on this debate stage, too. I think if the DNR showed any flexibility or even rationality, they would see that.”
We have to look at the fine print of these polls! Yang not included in questionaire. People had to say Andrew Yang bc it was not an option to select. This is why the polls are not accurate.#yanggang pic.twitter.com/C0C1fiGPdY

The complaints about Tuesday’s debate from the Yang Gang isn’t the first time minority candidates have accused the DNC of massaging the rules to help white establishment candidates gain an edge. Both Yang and Gabbard complained about similar efforts to shut them out with polling technicalities in previous debates.
The setback doesn’t mean Yang is losing momentum, however.

On Tuesday, comedian Dave Chappelle announced he’s officially endorsing Yang for president.
“I’m Yang Gang!” Chappelle said.
