An MSNBC anchor made a stunning slip on live television as the network reported on the death of basketball great Kobe Bryant.

Alison Morris said Bryant was “perfectly cast on the Los Angeles Ni**ers— Los Angeles Lakers,” quickly correcting herself after the shocking gaffe.
Another Twitter user caught the blunder:
So this @MSNBC reporter just referred to the Lakers as the Los Angeles Niggers on live tv when talking about Kobe. pic.twitter.com/htfPRwlgV6

Morris took to Twitter to claim she mixed up “Knicks” and “Lakers” to say “Nakers.”
Earlier today, while reporting on the tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s passing, I unfortunately stuttered on air, combining the names of the Knicks and the Lakers to say “Nakers.” Please know I did not & would NEVER use a racist term. I apologize for the confusion this caused.

“I unfortunately stuttered on air…” she said.
According to TMZ, Bryant and three others died in a helicopter crash on Sunday morning in California.
