Um, that wasn’t a hand.

Democrat candidate Mike Bloomberg was greeting a small group of voters in Vermont on Monday when he shook a dog’s open mouth as though it was a human’s paw.

Watch:

Bloomberg shook a man’s hand, then turned to the dog, whose mouth was open, and he shook it like a hand.

The former New York City mayor is focusing on Super Tuesday states, which includes Bernie Sanders’s home state of Vermont.

Bloomberg actually flew over New Hampshire to visit Maine.

A new national poll finds Bloomberg has moved into fourth place among Democrat candidates.

Joe Biden continues to lead, with 29 percent of Democrat primary voters, according to Morning Consult.

Sanders is in second with 23 percent, Elizabeth Warren in third with 14 percent, and Bloomberg has the support of 12 percent of primary voters.

Pete Buttigieg comes in fifth with 7 percent.
