A man in Iowa thinks America “needs to stop building and replacing pipelines.”
Joe Biden thinks he should vote for someone else.
A man in Iowa asks Joe Biden to stop supporting the building of new pipelines. Joe Biden tells him to go vote for someone else and then starts accusing him of voting for Bernie Sanders. Actually, the man says, he’s voting for Tom Steyer. Very awkward. pic.twitter.com/OOuGiypED8

Biden took offense to a voter’s suggestion during a meet and greet in Iowa on Tuesday, when he accused the man of supporting Socialist Bernie Sanders and urged him to vote for another candidate.
“I’m gonna support you if you win the nomination because we’ve got to get rid of Trump, but what are we going to do about climate change?” the man asked Biden. “Now I know you say you’re against pipelines, but then you want to replace these gas lines. That’s not going to work.
“We got to stop building and replacing pipelines,” the man said.
“You have to go vote for someone else,” Biden said as he palmed the man’s chest and pushed him away.
The man appeared stunned as Biden’s staffers cut in: “Alright, thanks so much, sir, we’re going to have you …”
“You’re not going to vote for me in the primary,” Biden continued, poking the man in the ribs with his pointer finger.
“I’m going to vote for you in the general, if you treat me right,” the man replied.
“Ya, I know,” Biden shot back, “well, I’m not.
“You’re asking a picture with me, coming to tell me you don’t support me …,” Biden said.
“No, no, no, I said I’d support you in the general,” the man argued.
“In the general,” Biden said, “I’m looking for a primary and a caucus, that’s what I’m looking for, okay?”
The 77-year-old former vice president then stepped closer, grabbed the man’s coat with both hands, and got in his face.
“Now, do you believe that Bernie is going to do something by 2030?” he said.
“I’m actually supporting Tom Steyer,” the man replied.
“Well, Tom Steyer, that’s good,” Biden said. “He’s the guy who supported coal mining …”
“So you got the right guy,” Biden mocked with a final finger poke in the man’s chest.
The encounter is one of the few honest Biden interactions caught on video in Iowa, where the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination has shied away from unscripted questions in recent weeks in favor of prepared soundbites.

At an event in Cedar Falls on Monday, Biden donned his trademark aviator shades as he made his way into the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, where he ignored shouted questions from a gaggle of reporters.
Instead, he offered a brief one-liner before dramatically peeling off his shades to head inside.
“Let’s remember one thing,” he said, “why the man’s on trial, only the second guy, because he’s afraid to run against me.”
Inside, dozens of supporters nodded off during a monotone, lifeless spiel that focused mostly on Biden’s vendetta against the president, The American Mirror reports.
