The presidential race in Iowa is reaching a fevered pitch, but Joe Biden’s campaign is getting the chills.

The former vice president, and so-called front runner, held a very small event for voters in Newton. Judging by our count, there were less than 75 potential voters in attendance in the city 30 miles outside of Des Moines.

John Davidson, political editor of The Federalist, noted “There are more press than people” at the rally.

Look at his photo:

Davidson’s photo showed several members of the media filing stories, or perhaps playing Fortnite, in the back of the room.

ABC’s Kendall Karson reports a Biden field organizer warmed up the crowd “holding a photo of his grandmother with Biden.”

He said his grandma “has a crush” on Biden.

“We need to elect my grandma’s sweetheart,” the field organizer reportedly implored.

The latest polling shows Biden is neck-and-neck with socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders. Voters head to caucus locations on Monday.
