The grind of the campaign trail is catching up with Joe Biden.

The Democrat front runner held an old-time reunion of sorts in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday, and picked someone out of the audience to acknowledge.

The former vice president was pacing around the gymnasium when he changed subjects and said, “I’ve been doing this, I hate to acknowledge it— How you doin’ man? Great to see you,” as he walked over to shake the man’s hand.

“This is one of the leaders in Massachusetts legis— This is a really, really, really, really fine man,” Biden said, never actually saying the “fine” man’s name.

“Thanks for being here,” he continued. “Speaking of loyalty, speaking of loyalty, God love you. Thank you.

“But at any rate, uh, the fact is that, uh, um, I forgot what the hell I was going to say,” he said.

He paused for several seconds as he tried to remember what he was talking about.
