Each person drew a card, and flipped them over simultaneously.
Sanders drew a higher card, and thus won.
This was standard procedure for the Nevada caucuses.
“In Iowa, they flipped a coin,” CNN’s Dana Bash reported, adding that Nevada was doing it “Vegas-style” with cards.
“If there’s a tie, the tie goes to the high card,” MSNBC reported about the rule.
