Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez needs to brush up on her Government 101 before she’s sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives in a couple weeks.

The New York socialist, who is adored by the mainstream media, rallied supporters on Facebook on Saturday to pitch in and help Democrats take back “all three chambers of Congress.”

“…the Progressive movement works and it wins in all districts…If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress– three chambers of government…,” she said, according to Chicks On The Right.

She clarified that she meant the “presidency, the Senate and the House.”

The Supreme Court is actually the third branch of government, along with the legislative and judicial branches.

Or if she really believes there’s three chambers of the Congress.

As Martin Walsh notes, Cortez also told progressives, “Long story short, I need you to run for office,” and urged them to run against her soon-to-be Democrat colleagues in primaries.

“All Americans know money in politics is a huge problem, but unfortunately the way that we fix it is by demanding that our incumbents give it up or by running fierce campaigns ourselves,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“We need new leaders, period. We gotta primary folks,” said Saikat Chakrabarti, Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff, during the call.

Chakrabari founded Justice Democrats, the group hosting the call.

When Ocasio-Cortez’s confusion was noted, she lashed out at her critics are “drooling over every minute of footage of me in slow-mo, waiting to chop up word slips that I correct in real-tomd…”

Maybe she should spend more time brushing up on her civics than flattering herself.
