Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is on a roll lately with crazy ideas for saving the world.

The New York lawmaker took to Twitter on Tuesday to highlight a trip she made to Queens, New York, earlier this week to visit with teenagers.

Ocasio-Cortez said that one of the kids asked her, “What can WE do to combat climate change?”

The 29-year-old socialist said she informed the group that switching razors and eating peanut butter for breakfast was the key to making it happen.

In a follow-up tweet, Ocasio-Cortez offered some more tips.

She argued that “incorporating thrift, consignment & second-hand clothes in your wardrobe (host a clothing swap w/ friends for a no-spend option)” will help combat climate change as well as riding a bicycle and bringing “your own bag/coffee mug.”

Ocasio-Cortez’s keys to saving the planet are all related to her socialist “Green New Deal,” which will cost trillions of dollars and require the U.S. to completely get off fossil fuels within 10 years.

While speaking at an event last month honoring Martin Luther King, Jr., the 29-year-old lawmaker argued that climate change is “our World War II.”

“I think that the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. And your biggest issue is, your biggest issue is how are we going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our World War II,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

She was attempting to argue that World War II — where over 60 million people were killed — is comparable to climate change, which was another push for her Green New Deal.

“I think that the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. And your biggest issue is, your biggest issue is how are we going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our World War II,” Ocasio-Cortez began.

“I think for younger people, we’re looking at this are more like, how are we saying ‘let’s take it easy’ when 3,000 Americans died last year, how are we saying ‘let’s take it easy’ when the nth person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system?” she asked.

Beyond her mind-boggling comments, the price tag for her socialist plan is eye-popping.

A recent study from PJ Media found that Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” would actually cost nearly $50 trillion.

According to an eye-popping PJ Media analysis based on a new report from Power the Future, the “Green New Deal” proposed by democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) would cost more than 8,000 times as much as President Donald Trump’s border wall.

The “Green New Deal” will cost approximately $49.109 trillion in the first ten years, enough to fund Trump’s border wall 8,616 times over. The president is requesting $5.7 billion for the wall.

PJ Media calculated the cost of the “Green New Deal” by integrating each of the cost aspects involved in a Power the Future analysis and calculating their cost for the U.S. over about ten years — and in one case through 2050.

All that “free” stuff Ocasio-Cortez keeps promising sure is expensive.

But no need to fear, apparently eating peanut butter and riding your bicycle a few times a week will help put a dent in that cost and save the world.
