The Cruz for President campaign released an ad Wednesday featuring Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson.

“My qualifications for President of the United States are rather narrow,” Phil Robertson says in the ad.

“Is he or she godly? Does he or she love us? Can he or she do the job? And finally, would they kill a duck and put ’em in a pot and make a good duck gumbo?

“I’ve looked at the candidates. Ted Cruz is my man. He fits the bill.

“He’s godly. He loves us. He’s the man for the job and he will go duck hunting,” Robertson says.

The ad shows Robertson and Cruz shooting at ducks in the sky.

“Cruz, the reason we’re going to vote for you — all of us — is because you’re one of us, my man,” Robertson tells Cruz while they’re sitting in the blind. The candidate has a rare moment where he’s a many of few words and only mutters a nearly inaudible response.

“It’s now or never,” Robertson says as the ad concludes.

Robertson’s son, Willie, appeared on stage with Cruz rival Donald Trump in September.

“Where’s Willie? Where the hell is Willie? Willie, get over here!” Trump said to a crowd in Oklahoma City, ABC News reports. “Look at this guy! Look at this guy!”

“I do like me some Trump, I gotta admit,” Robertson said in return. “Here’s the deal. We’re both successful businessmen, we both have pretty big shows on television, and we both have wives that are 1,000 times better looking than us. So I like Trump.”
