After frantically warning that climate change will end the world in 12 years if serious action isn’t taken, Robert “Beto” O’Rourke is now begging his followers to give him gas money for his minivan.

The failed Texas senatorial candidate announced at the crack of down on Thursday morning that he’s running for president and seeking the Democratic nomination.

After a few events and media appearances, O’Rourke hit the road in Iowa and showed just how big of a hypocrite he is.

“Quick update from the road in Iowa. We just filled up the Dodge Grand Caravan for $28.53. Your donations are literally keeping us fueled up as we begin this campaign. Chip in $28.53 now to keep us on the road,” O’Rourke wrote, adding a link to Secure Blue, a website that only accepts donations to be made to liberals.

Quite amazing to see O’Rourke riding around in his gas-guzzling minivan, which far-leftists say will help lead to the extinction of the human race, and begging for gas money to “keep him on the road.”

But just hours before that, O’Rourke told a crowd in Iowa that he wholeheartedly supports Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist Green New Deal.

In fact, O’Rourke took it one step further and declared that the world will end in 12 years if serious action isn’t taken immediately.

“We face catastrophe and crisis on this planet even if we were to stop emitting carbon today, right now at this moment,” O’Rourke said, theatrically waving his arms.

“We know that the storms that we saw in Texas, Harvey — which dealt the landfall record amount of rain on the United States of America as long as we’ve been keeping records, that claimed the lives of too many of our fellow Americans, flooded people literally out of their homes and businesses, storms like Harvey are only going to become more frequent and more severe and more devastating and ultimately compromise the ability to live in a city like Houston, Texas,” he added.

Why not drive an electric car if O’Rourke genuinely believes climate change is that serious of a threat?

Seems like he is just spewing liberal talking points for attention with no desire to actually abide by the rules and measures he is calling for.

“There is going to be massive migration of tens or hundreds of millions of people from countries that are literally uninhabitable or underwater that are above the sea right now. This is our final chance,” O’Rourke said.

He then made his boldest prediction yet and argued we have just over a decade to live unless action is taken on climate change.

“The scientists are absolutely unanimous on this, that we have no more than 12 years to take incredibly bold action on this crisis,” he added, falsely asserting that all scientists agree with the doomsday scenario.

It seems as if every time someone does a study on the cost of the Green New deal, it gets worse each time.

One of the first studies found that the measure would cost an estimated $7 trillion. Another study found that it could be closer to $50 trillion, with a third study finding that it could actually be around $93 trillion.

Beyond that, it’s also quite remarkable to see the same guy warning of imminent climate catastrophe is begging supporters for money to fuel up his gas-guzzling minivan.
